In 2006, we granted $1.8 million to the Ashmolean Museum at Oxford University. The Ashmolean Museum houses important works of art and archaeology and also acts as a research and teaching institute for the University of Oxford. LRCF’s grant will fund the Ashmolean’s new Reading and Writing gallery, which explores the origins and development of reading and writing across time and cultures.
