In 2002, we contributed $7.9 million to the Courtauld Institute's endowment fund. This helped it to attain the financial independence it needed to preserve academic autonomy.

The Courtauld Institute of Art is a constituent College of the University of London. It is one of the world's leading centres for professional training and research in art history. It also presents art collections in its galleries and furthers public knowledge and enlightened public policy in the field.

In 2004, we granted a further $95,000 to help fund an exhibition of Islamic Art.
