Arcadia has awarded online encyclopedia Wikipedia a donation of $192,000.

Launched in 2001 by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger, Wikipedia is the largest and most popular general reference work on the internet and home to some 14 million articles.

The donation was made to “help Wikipedia’s core costs in recognition of its remarkable achievement in diffusing knowledge” free of charge across the world.
