In 2008, we granted $5.0 million to the European Climate Foundation (ECF) to support the organisation’s work in relation to climate change and protection of the environment.

The ECF works to impact immediate reduction in CO2 emissions and to engage in a long-term approach to promote alternative energy sources, which are more sustainable for the environment.

Our grant to the European Climate Foundation will help strengthen the newly started organisation and positively impact environmental policy making in the EU. The grant from Arcadia will furthermore help the organisation's campaigns against coal as an energy source in the United Kingdom and in Germany.
