In April 2007, we awarded a grant of $5.3 million to Oceana to be used for core operating costs. Oceana’s head office is in Washington, DC, USA, and Oceana also has offices in Europe and South America. Global in scope, Oceana works to reduce pollution of the world’s oceans and to prevent the irreversible collapse of fish population, marine mammals, and other sea life.

Arcadia’s grant, to be paid equally over three years, will cover nearly 15% of Oceana’s annual core operating costs.
