We granted $5.0 million to the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) to support history departments of state universities in the US. The grant will fund chairs in political, intellectual and social 19th and 20th century US history. It will also contribute to an endowed fund, allowing graduate students from the developing world to study US history.
