In 2007, we granted $170,000 to provide a Visiting Fellowship to the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism.

The Visiting Fellow will provide advice and guidance to the Reuters Institute at a strategic level and play a key role in mentoring and advising the international journalist fellows in the Institute’s Journalist Fellowship Programme.

The Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, sponsored by the Reuters Foundation and established in the Department of Politics and International Relations, marks Oxford University's commitment to create an international research centre in the comparative study of journalism. The Institute aims to serve as the leading forum for a productive engagement between scholars from a wide range of disciplines, and the practitioners of journalism.
